Lower-secondary drama for Burlington Books
Talking Heads drama series
We produced thirty-two drama episodes for the Burlington ELT series Talking Heads, aimed at lower-secondary learners of English. The episodes cover four language levels and typically feature dialogues. We developed scripts from material originally created by our clients so that each scenario would work in the context of the everyday life of students at a British secondary school. We sourced locations for the series, including the principal school location, home locations etc We cast a group of teenage actors who we initially filmed with in 2017. We filmed with the same cast again a year later so that the age progression of the cast would exactly match that of the students viewing the series.
Filming for the Talking Heads series took place at various locations inBuckinghamshire with the Red Epic-W camera to deliver 4K (ultra-high-definition) images. Post-production with Adobe Premier, AdobeAudition and DaVinci Resolve.
Our first experience of working with Sharp Focus was an overwhelmingly positive one. Handed a complex project with a tight deadline, they came through on schedule while always being helpful, accommodating and prepared to ‘go the extra mile.’ The bonus is that the final product has been very enthusiastically received in our market!
